The Prodigy Project

THE PRODIGY PROJECT

When the seeds of death are sown into the very blueprints of life, no one is safe….

Someone is trying to resurrect ancient viruses hidden deep within the human genetic code to create a biological weapon so specific that it can target an individual, or an entire race. When two young prodigies discover their “medical research” is being used to build this weapon, they seek outside help to destroy it. Help comes in the unlikely guise of Jon Gunderson—doctor, bio-weapons expert, and devoted family man whose unsuspecting wife and nine children have unwittingly accompanied him on yet another assignment. Once the truth comes to light, the Gundersons will have to set aside their differences if they hope to rescue the prodigies and escape with their lives. The fate of the world hangs in the balance as the bittersweet dynamics of a large but loving family take center stage against China’s breathtaking landscapes.

A terrifying new bio-weapon, an unconventional hero, and a fast-paced tale torn from tomorrow’s headlines, THE PRODIGY PROJECT is taking readers by storm.

Read what others are saying about THE PRODIGY PROJECT:

Original and Entertaining Read
Loved the book! Brilliant storyline, relatable characters, and the perfect blend of action and humor. Whether the themes are far-fetched (a spy using his big family as a cover) or frighteningly plausible (a power-hungry terrorist using indigenous retroviruses for race-specific biological warfare) they are all highly original and well-developed. With plenty of plot twists to keep you guessing, The Prodigy Project is an excellent, thought-provoking read from start to finish. Flanders shows great promise as an author, and his debut novel is destined to become a family classic. Let’s hope there are many more to follow!

Fantastic!
I quite enjoyed reading “The Prodigy Project”…. The novel is well thought out, with a great storyline and tons of adventure! Flanders does a fantastic job of explaining scientific detail so that even people like me that are science-challenged can grasp what is being discussed. I learned a lot about bioweapons, and the book certainly leaves one wondering just how far such weapons have already been developed.

Unlike Anything Else I’ve Read
The characters are brilliantly thought out and all of them have a purpose within the book. The plot is well thought out and is consistent throughout the novel. This book has a unique plot which won’t be found in any other books at the moment.

Grabbed Me by the Throat
…it grabbed me by the throat at the prologue, and didn’t release its grip until the epilogue; it’s THAT kind of book.
The author uses the K.I.S.S. method (it means Keep It Simple, Stupid) in his writing: the story is told simply and to the point.
I highly recommend this book to whomever loves a well written story. (

A Good Book to Curl Up With
I like the book as a whole and I did not want to stop reading once I got started. The different aspects that Dr. Flanders brings forth in the book – the biological research, the prodigy project that gives the book its title, Jon Gunderson’s background – are brought together very well into a great book. What also drew me into the book is the humor that is woven throughout the book.

Couldn’t Stop Reading
My kids gave me a Kindle for Christmas, and the first book I downloaded was THE PRODIGY PROJECT. This author is responsible for a 72 old lady not going to bed until the book was finished. I loved it. I love intrigue and anything about our great military and our great country. It all was there.”
