At ten, Rachel has developed a pretty quick wit, which usually catches us completely off-guard, since she’s always been so sober and quiet in the past. She loves to read, read, read, and also enjoys writing, drawing, spelling, working sudoku puzzles, and anything else that can be done with a pencil in hand. She is very athletic and has a surprisingly competitive spirit, as well, but is also a very hard worker and eager helper. She knows her way around the kitchen and can mix muffins, chop vegetables, make fruit salad, empty the dishwasher, set the table, and sweep the floor — usually with a song on her lips.
