The Flanders Family Update - Winter 2008
We hope you are really enjoying your New Year. This winter update is a bit overdue -- as was our new grandson! Since we're committed to sending subscribers only four emails a year, I didn't want this one to go out without photos of the newest little "grand" Flanders. Isn't he a cutie?
We were also set back a bit by the stomach virus that various members of our family spent all of December passing back and forth. Upside of spending the holidays all holed up at home with a dishpan in our lap is: 1) I lost weight even before my resolutions took effect, 2) I felt pretty well-rested by the time New Year's rolled around, and 3) I had plenty of "down-time" to work on this website (and to catch up on scrapbooking)!

Check out what's new by following the links below:
|
GRANDBABY #2! - We are pleased to announce that Sawyer Ethan Flanders arrived safely on December 29, 2008, weighing a whopping 9 lbs. 10 oz. That's him above on the right. To see more pics, click here.
TEENPACT - Several members of our family appear briefly in the award-winning video some friends of ours made to promote a very worthwhile program called TeenPact. Click here to watch the clip!
FREE BOOK - Start the New Year right by investing in your marriage. Debi Pearl's book Created To Be His Help Meet is a terrific resource, full of Biblical wisdom and practical advice for becoming a more loving, supportive wife. We'll send a copy free of charge to the first ten people who email us requesting it.
UPDATES - We've posted the web version of our family's Christmas newsletter for 2008, complete with photos taken throughout the year. Click here to view.
ORGANIZATION - In this section, we discuss our favorite way to keep track of calendars and schedules: Mom's Notebook!
BETH'S BLOG - Our oldest daughter has now left the nest and is learning to depend more fully on God to uphold her as she tests those wings. Read what the LORD is teaching her by clicking here.
BELIEFS - There's nothing like raising kids to make a parent sorely aware of his/her own shortcomings. But where we fail, God stands ready to extend forgiveness to those who call upon His name. How utterly lost we would be without His sustaining grace!
God bless and keep you all!
